Join yoga instructor Heather Coon and Riverbrook residents for a weeky drop-in adaptive yoga class! Tuesday mornings, 10-11, in the Council on Aging room at the Stockbridge Town Offices. $5 per session.

Community members from Stockbridge and surrounding towns are invited to join Riverbrook residents for a weekly drop-in community yoga workshop in the Council on Aging room in the Stockbridge Town Offices. Led by certified yoga instructor Heather Coon, this series of adaptive yoga classes will incorporate breath work and standing postures as well as meditative relaxation.

The workshop series is an extension of a class that Heather has been teaching for some time at Riverbrook, a residence for women with intellectual/developmental disabilities in Stockbridge. Rebecca Amuso Wendell, Executive Director of Riverbrook, has been delighted with how transformative the yoga class has been for participants. “We are so happy to be able to work with Heather to bring her empowering class to the wider community,” says Amuso Wendell.

Classes will be held on Tuesday mornings beginning September 25th from 10 to 11, and will meet in the Council on Aging room at the Stockbridge Town Offices. Cost is $5 per class. Mats will be available, but participants may want to bring their own blankets or bolsters.
