Riverbrook women were thrilled to be invited by Muddy Brook Regional Elementary School to join them at the Norman Rockwell Museum on March 11th for Friends and Family day! The event was part of the museum’s new Berkshire County Student Passport Program, and featured illustrations of fables created by third grade students and their teachers — including Riverbrook mom Anne Flynn, whose daughter attends Riverbrook’s day program. Riverbrook has forged a special bond with Muddy Brook; resident Jane Cole visits the school once a month to read picture books to Kindergartners. Workforce Development Director Colleen Powers reports that “the teaching assistants and their children greet us warmly each visit and really make Jane feel welcome at Muddy Brook. From the moment we are greeted in the Main Office until we leave the parking lot we feel the love, respect and warmth.” Riverbrook’s partnership with Muddy Brook Elementary is a terrific example of community spirit, and we were delighted to be able to attend this special event at the Norman Rockwell Museum!
