J. Martin Salvadore (Marty)
Board Member Since 2001, Treasurer 2010-2017
Marty was born and raised in Stockbridge, attending local schools, and graduating from the former Williams High School in Stockbridge. He earned an Associate’s Degree from Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield, then a B.S. degree in Industrial Management from Bryant College in Providence, RI. In 1969, he joined a local insurance and real estate firm, Wheeler & Taylor, Inc. as an Insurance Broker/Salesman, eventually becoming President of the Corporation until his retirement. In 1975, Marty completed 6 years in the Army. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Stockbridge Sportsmen’s Club, and is involved in the MA Golf Association as a Tournament Rules Official. Marty brings to the Board his talents learned in the business world, as well as his experience in advocating for over forty years for a daughter with disabilities and special needs. Being a native son of Stockbridge and the region, he has many local contacts to help with fundraising and filling positions for Board Governance.
Marty and his wife, Patricia, have two children, one of whom is a day student at Riverbrook.
